Beavers Bend, Oklahoma

June 26-28, 2020

Beavers Bend is located in the mountainous region of southeast Oklahoma along the shores of Broken Bow Lake and the Mountain Fork River. You will see as we travel down the winding roads through the forests of pine and hardwood trees that it is a beautiful and private retreat to re-connect with the simplicity of nature. There will be adventure, tranquility, and crystal clear waters to submerge (with)in. It is an outdoor lover’s paradise, and I want to honor the primitive side of things in this location. This retreat will be a camping only retreat as we will wake up with the sun and settle with the moon by night.

We will get the opportunity to bathe in refreshing cold springs, chase waterfalls, and spend time creating powerful imagery along the riverside as we dive into one of Oklahoma’s most beautiful destinations.

Are you a summer babe? Do you enjoy bathing in the sunlight and swimming in refreshing waters? Do you dream of perfect weather and seeing wildlife flourish alongside you? Do you love the smell of open fires and appreciate the simple things in life? We know the divine feeling of satisfaction when you lay down with a sky full of stars above you. This retreat was made with you in mind. Rise with the sun and settle with the moon.

Date: June 26th - June 28th (Friday - Sunday)

White Sands National Park, New Mexico

October 22-25, 2020

Like no place on earth, rising from the heart of the Tularosa Basin is one of the world's greatest natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico. Great wave-like dunes composed of gypsum broken down through time, have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the world's largest gypsum dune field. White Sands National Park preserves a major portion of this unique dune field, along with the plants and animals that live here.

We will stay outside of the park in Ruidoso, New Mexico, which is roughly two hours away. I chose this destination as there are nearby trails there that offer a different perspective to the desert oasis. You’ll have access to Grindstone Lake, and winter activities will be included in the quaint little town. This retreat will be a cabin retreat, as we warm up indoors during the cold season, but nonetheless, adventure still awaits as hiking and yoga will still be part of the agenda. We will brave the cold and test our tenacity to withstand physical conditions and continue to create art, or in other words, “risk it for the biscuit.” Last time I was there, I woke up to elk by my window. Just saying.

This one’s for the stargazers. The fearless explorers that enjoy the fresh breath of winter and the cleansing of another season, waiting to be reborn. The dreamy nostalgia of hot tea and your favorite book as wildlife surrounds you with inspiration and solitude. It’s the familiar comfort of knowing you’re home away from home, and to know that you are engulfed in evergreens and pure white bliss, as this experience will take you to not just one, but TWO different locations, both completely distinct from one another.

Date: October 23rd - October 25th (Friday - Sunday)

Time: 3:00PM Friday to 5:00PM Sunday
